You should delay enrollment in any course offered by the department and required for the major until you have sophomore standing (at least 24 total degree credits earned).
Elective Courses
The department offers the following elective courses:
- Com Dis 110: Introduction to Communicative Disorders, 3 cr
- Com Dis 424: Manually Coded English (Sign Language I), 2 cr (Fall only)
- Com Dis 434: Manually Coded English (Sign Language II), 2 cr (Spring only)
- Com Dis 455H: Undergraduate Junior Honors, usually 3 cr (Fall only)
- Com Dis 681H: Senior Honors Thesis, 3 cr
- Com Dis 682H: Senior Honors Thesis, 3 cr
- Com Dis 699: Directed Study, 1-6 cr
A registration form for directed/independent study should be completed by the student or instructor, signed by both, and filed with the department student status examiner.
